"Hello, Hanees. Writing to thank you again on behalf of my husband, our son, and myself. The short time you spent with him paid off. He scored a 780 in his Math and 720 in his Reading totaling a solid 1500 on his SAT. Thank you very much. I think with a good essay and his extracurricular activities he would be able to go to pursue his dreams. He has also regained his confidence to excel during this strange year of lone studying. I will definitely recommend you to others. He has his AP exams coming up. If he needs any help, we will reach out. Thank you again."

"Usually I feel really pressured by people watching me try and work a problem and I freeze up and then get really embarrassed, but he explained things well and went quickly, which made me feel better than usual about it. He's also very accommodating and easy to schedule with."

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before getting started.

How does weekly preparation work?

Weekly SAT Preparation includes 3 private 1-hour lessons per week for $270 -- a savings compared with the individual lesson rate.

What is the SAT?

The SAT is a standardized test used by many colleges and universities as part of the admissions process. The digital SAT measures skills in Reading and Writing and Math and is scored on a scale of 400–1600.

What is a good SAT score?

There is no single SAT score that is considered "good" for every student or college. SAT scores are reported on a 400–1600 scale, with separate Reading and Writing and Math scores ranging from 200–800. The score that makes sense for a student depends on the colleges they are considering and their individual goals.

What is on the SAT?

The SAT has two sections: Reading and Writing and Math. The Reading and Writing section has 54 questions, and the Math section has 44 questions. Each section is divided into two timed modules. The SAT is adaptive, meaning that the difficulty of the second module in each section is based on how the student performs on the first module.

How can I prepare for the SAT?

Effective SAT preparation involves understanding the tested concepts, practicing official SAT-style questions, reviewing mistakes, and developing effective time-management and test-taking strategies. College Board provides free full-length digital practice tests through Bluebook, as well as official practice resources through Khan Academy.

How many times should I take the SAT?

There is no universal number of times a student should take the SAT. Students can take the SAT on multiple test dates, and many colleges consider a student's best section scores across different test dates through a process called superscoring. However, colleges have their own testing policies, so students should check the requirements of the colleges they are considering.

Should I take the SAT or the ACT?

For most students, there is no universal advantage to taking the SAT instead of the ACT — or vice versa. Both tests are widely accepted by U.S. colleges, and colleges generally do not prefer one test over the other. The better choice is the test on which you perform better and feel more comfortable. We can help you choose the right fit for your learning style and goals.
